CarePartners, formerly Interfaith CarePartners has been serving the Houston community and surrounding counties since 1985. Through collaborative partnerships with Christian and Jewish congregations we provide respite care for people caring for loved ones suffering from memory loss or other challenges due to aging. Our Gathering Place is a 3.5 hour program designed to provide the person living with memory loss or other challenges due to aging a place of fun, structure, safe, loving environment while the caregiver receives respite. The care partner, person living with memory loss is cared for by a group of trained, passionate volunteers who love them for who they are today. Our Second Family program is designed to provide in-home companionship, and respite for the care partner and care giver through our volunteer 2:1 ratio. Common Ground is a program for our care givers in a group setting led by a volunteer licensed therapist. Care Giver conferences are provided for care givers of all kids 4-6 times per year to provide all day workshops that will help a care giver cope, navigate the care giver world, network, and become more educated on care giver topics.
All CarePartner programs are free to the our participants. We are funded by grants, corporations, congregations, individuals and foundations. Our 2,600 volunteers and 83 Church & Jewish congregations around Houston and Waco areas.
