Our speaker Wednesday 05/11/16 will be Frank Ciaccio. Frank is the Emergency Management Coordinator for the Houston Airport System (HAS).  He recently accepted the position as EMC whereby he oversees strategic leadership and technical guidance to IAH, HOU, and EFD airports focusing on collaboration and an all-hazards approach to safety & emergency management. Frank has over 25 years of diverse experience in law enforcement, aviation, forensic investigations and emergency response working multiple aviation crashes/disasters both domestic and international. He has worked both in the private and public sector and was the former Unit Chief of Forensic Sciences for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Frank has participated and conducted several Emergency Response/Crisis Management training programs and has developed multiple emergency management response plans for airlines along with several mass fatality plans for government agencies. In addition to investigating commercial airline crashes, Frank has investigated multiple high profile plane crashes that included Payne Stewart, Governor Carnahan and JFK Jr. Frank is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where he obtained his BS in Biology and Physical Anthropology and his Master’s Degree in Forensic Anthropology and Public Administration. He is a Fellow- American Academy of Forensic Science, Diplomat- American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators and the former U.S. Representative to INTERPOL from 1999-2003.
